Study confirms the excessive media coverage of Canadiens players
Influence Communication today released an analysis that compares media coverage of Montreal Canadiens players than other teams.
The analysis focused on the media attention given to the players cover the whole market of North America for the period 1 January 2010 to October 8, 2010.
During the period analyzed, Sidney Crosby was the most publicized player in America North. It is followed by Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, who won the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Jaroslav Halak, of which 98% of the coverage comes from his stay in Montreal, came in 4th place. Moreover, players of Canadian occupy 4 of the top 20 positions. Only the Blackhawks have as many players in the Top 20. In the first 100 positions, there are 13 players for the Canadiens. addition by summing the weight of the whole media of his players, the Canadiens are the team that received the greatest publicity in 2010, beating the champions of the Stanley Cup, the Chicago Blackhawks. In this regard, the Montreal Canadiens players receive on average 63% more coverage than their colleagues in other teams.
